So our Lord Jesus has given you resources and a desire to give cheerfully, and you want to know where and how you can help this ministry? It is our honor to have you as our fellow workers in this ministry! Here's how we've broken down some of our estimated needs:
Basics: Our monthly living expenses run around $1200 (rent, food, bills, transportation...)
Initial Setup: We expect to have up-front costs upon arrival in South Africa (air fare, deposit for rent, car purchase, furniture, appliances, some clothing...) It's amazing how consistent monthly donations help with this. You'd think we'd need large one-time donations, but a few donors committed to helping every month easily take care of this. Spread out over the two years we'll be there, I figure $300 monthly should take care of the Initial Setup costs.
Ministry: Aside from our normal living expenses we like to invest between $300 and $600 in ministry itself, including help with other workers.

Seminary: Online theology classes at SLTS run at about $100 per month.
Portuguese Literature: to be distributed to the Portuguese-speaking groups in Jo'burg in a plan to reach out to Mozambique and Angola groups. We plan to arrive in Johannesburg, get a weekly Portuguese study group going, train leaders, and distribute literature to others using that as a bridge. We'll focus on leaflets and booklets which are cheap to print and can be distributed in numbers, as well as a small number of bigger books for the trained leaders. We're figuring on spending between $20 and $50 monthly.
Consistent monthly giving really helps us provide for our needs, especially in planning our budget. It helps us keep our focus on the ministry. Yet one-time gifts from time to time are so appreciated as well, as they usually carry special meaning.
