Watch a brief description video (below) of how we hope to accomplish this vision:
So, we're going to big cities, and we intend to raise workers out of the field itself to send them out all over. In Brazil there are many big cities, and several of them with great international potential, but none quite like São Paulo.
The Plan: from Sorocaba, target São Paulo and Campinas (the Sorocaba Triangle - see map below). Once in São Paulo (our goal is to be there by 2020), target São Paulo residents who are each originally from Rio, Belo, and Tokyo first, seeking to establish a church within those communities. Yes, that means a church "for" Cariocas (folks from Rio), and another one "for" Mineiros (you got it, that's what we call folks from Minas Gerais, where Belo Horizonte lays), and another one "for" the Japanese. The end goal is partnering with these churches to send missionaries to their respective areas (Rio, Belo, Tokyo). The process of targeting another people group to train from among them workers to be sent to their place of origin must always continue, indefinitely, so it will be taught in all our groups.
Why Rio, Belo, and Tokyo, specifically? First, it's just an idea, and we'll focus on going through doors the Lord opens. But from the standpoint of logic and strategy, we must strive to find balance between local, regional, national, and international scales. It makes no sense only to think locally, for this demonstrates lack of Godly concern for souls farther away. Neither does it make sense to think only of those far away and not care for "home base". Tokyo is the largest urban area in the world. It's the place with most souls living together, so it could be argued that it is the city most needy of the gospel in the whole world. Rio and Belo are the second and third biggest cities in Brazil, forming a huge population triangle with São Paulo, with around 40 million people.

| Sorocaba Triangle and Top Three Triangle |
Nationally speaking, once the top three are reached, and more churches are being set up in them, they can partner together to spread the gospel throughout the rest of the urban area, state/region, nation, and world. Other churches in São Paulo can be set up among the Chinese and Indian towards the goal of sending missionaries to those countries. Likewise, other churches can be set up among the various Brazilian regions (Gaúchos, Nordestinos, etc.) always in partnership with other local churches!
So by 2050 we hope to plant churches in 35 new urban areas, and have each church multiplying locally to have more critical mass to be able to effectively partner with each other and plant new ones. Today the church in Sorocaba is being planted, and can count on the help of the close-by churches of Rio Claro and Araraquara. In ten years with a few groups in São Paulo, others in Campinas, all working together, national workers can be sent to Rio, Belo, Porto Alegre, Brasília, not to mention Japan, China, India, Mexico... We're not afraid of aiming high, for so did the apostle Paul in his planning!
"...whenever I journey to Spain, I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while" (Rm.15:24).
"...so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it" (2Tm.4:17).
